The draw of the qualification round for the FIFA World Cup in South Africa 2010, was done on Sunday the 25th of November 2007.

Belgium, now 49th in the FIFA World ranking list, will play in group 5 together with Spain, Turkey, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Armenia and Estonia.

The fixtures of group 5 will be made on the 8th of January 2008 in Barcelona.

53 European countries will participate on the qualification round. There are eight groups of six teams and one group composed by five teams. The winners of each group will be qualified directly for the final round of the World Cup in South Africa.  The eight best numbers two will play 2 supplementary qualifying matches and the winners will also play the final round from the 11th of June until the 11th of July 2010.
