During the 1986 World Cup in Mexico the Red Devils were struck by the grinding poverty. That is why they decided to give up a part of their competition bonuses to the street children of Toluca.
Since then, some thirty youngsters at a time have enjoyed full boarding, food and education in our house. Over the years we have given more than two hundred underprivileged children a chance for a concrete and better future.

In 1993 the FIFA rewarded the Association for its humanitarian action, with the "1992 Fair Play Award".

So far, various libraries have been opened and placed at the population's disposal, where numerous activities are also organised.
The ultimate objective is to build a dozen libraries around the major industrial city of Toluca, particularly in the poor people's quarters where no electricity, running water or sanitary facilities are yet available. Football has initiated a transatlantic co-operation with this project, again emphasising football's social function.
